Hello
I ran a new rootkit software named No virus thanks anti rootkit.Free version. It detected to positves -1 VCpl.exe and Orer.exe
To my knowledge VCpl.exe is a normal file and no rootkit or malware, however correct me if I am wrong
I ran hijack this latest version but no file was found In folder options I unchecked Hide hidden folders and show systemfiles.
Eset Smartsecurity 4.2.67.10 (Latest)does not detect infection. Malwarebytes latest version does not detect infection
Also I ran F secure and Sophos anti rootkit but with the same result No infection.
Ran Registry Search Tool from http://www.billsway.com/vbspage/ and found 126 references to (expl)orer.exe but no seperate indication to orer.exe on its own
Cann't kill or delete this in No virus anti rootkit despite the option is given. Orer.exe keeps on appearing.
Hope anyone is willing to help me here
Kind regards
Pjottr
By the way The system runs fast and smooth.I only see duplicate shortcuts coming up all over of which files cannot be opened
I do not know if there is a relation.
Last week I clean installed Vista .Hope not that i have to do that again.
