Alrighty. This is going to be a long post, and hopefully it's not in the wrong place. It's my first day here. :D Sadly, this box here looks like it uses html tags (?) and stuff, and part of this is going to require I paste some from somewhere else. Hopefully that 1) doesn't make them do what they did there and 2) isn't against any rules.

Ok. Here's a little back story. I've been getting a bit of web harassment lately (the cops are crap apparently) and my ex decided he wanted to play a trick. He re-wrote the script on a page on his website to apparently be a series of "harmless" dialog boxes. He then wrote the url for that specific page out on paper (yes, I have it saved) and asked me to send the harasser the link.

I asked him what was supposed to happen, and he wouldn't tell me, so I went there myself instead. I'm a little worried that there was something going on with the site beyond just the dialog boxes. I didn't get any prompts to install anything, but I've heard of programs being made to *look* like it's just a dialog box when you're really just telling it it's ok to install on your computer.

Anyway, I have windows Vista, I'm on a wireless router so there's that firewall, and I have ZoneAlarm, MalwareBytes and Avira and none of them are reporting anything dirty on my computer. But I'm still a little paranoid. So anyway, I've saved the script from the page so I wouldn't have to link anyone to it to have it checked out. However, it took me a few days to figure out how to do that exactly (and now I love google Chrome). There might have been something there before that he removed when I was acting all suspicious. And yeah, I get that I'm a dittity doo dah for going to the url when I already thought it might be fishy business.

He later said all it was going to do was provide him with an IP address for whomever went to the page. But I'm just not sure, and I don't get this script stuff very well, and I'm not sure any of my geeky friends are actually *that* geeky except my ex. I'm going to post the script here and hopefully it won't do anything wonky in this box, but I was hoping someone could look at it as it is and tell me if they seen anything to be worried about?
