Hello, and I apologize ahead of time for my lack of knowlege in the computer world- I need help badly!! My hubby was on our Dell PC at home and got a pop up stating the computer needed to be cleaned. Long story short, he clicked on it, and by the time he got to the screen with the prices, he panicked and turned off the computer. Now when we turn it on, the DELL logo comes up, then it goes right to a black empty screen with a blinking cursor in the top left hand corner.

What do I do???????? Please help!!! Thank you!

Keep tapping F8 as soon as you turn on the PC.
You should get a screen called "Advanced Startup Options".
With up/down arrow keys, highlight "Last known good configuration" and press <Enter>

If that fails, the PC may have been infected with malware & you'll need to post on the Malware forum since we aren't allowed to help with malware removal on the general forums. Malware forum is here: http://www.geekstogo...alware-removal/
