I am running Windows Movie Maker version 2.1.4028.0 on Windows XP Service Pack 3. The software keeps crashing on me. I am usually only able to add one clip to my movie before it crashes and I have to re-open the program and file. This is the error report:

AppName: moviemk.exe
AppVer: 2.1.4028.0
ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.5755
Offset: 0001b21a

Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!!

Try uninstalling the program and then reinstalling it. Let us know the outcome.

Movie Maker is known to fall over on a whim.

This is one possible solution:

Thank you both for the suggestions. I had already tried the hotfix you recommended. After doing some more searching, I realized that this is a common problem with Movie Maker. I decided to try VideoPad instead and it worked great!
