I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard 6000 v. 3 that will not install. I have downloaded the proper software from Microsoft and when I try to install the keyboard, I get an error message stating that there was an error installing and giving me error code 1603.

I have been to the Microsoft site and they offer no solutions. Is there anyone here that can help?

Just plug it in. You don't need the software.

The software only powers the fancy buttons that you will probably press once in a blue moon, with all due respect.
