any javascript windows that need to pop up don't. I can't even pop up "find" in internet explorer :tazz:

if i want to click on the "Review the complete topic (launches new window)" at the bottom of this reply page.. that even won't work.

I'm writing this to clarify my error. I can't scan my computer with this problem.

Also.. is there any way i can find the "shell32.dll" that originally came with my computer?

Thanks for all your help

Another Update. I fixed MMC. I can now acces "Services.msc"

I did "Regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\Msxml2.dll" in RUN.

I read it off another site. :tazz:

Hope to hear from you ASAP.

THanks

Sorry for the delay, had some other things to take care of first :tazz:

Glad MMC is working again. Does that fix the Add/Remove panel and other things as well for you?

Did you delete all those files by now? For CCleaner, look around the site and see if they have a download for you to get if you get that error message. You are probably missing some runtime libraries.

Thanks for your reply.

Take your time. I'm in no rush to fix this.

As for add remove programs... it still doesn't work. Neither does User Accounts.

I deleted all the files you asked me to. THey're gone.

I'm 100% sure my shell32.dll is corrupted. Is there any way i can repair it or replace it with the one that first came with my computer?

Also.. when i double-click on a shortcut icon.. nothing happens. I have to right click it and click on open. VERY ANNOYING. :tazz:

Plus, i get error messages on most of my programs.

This is what the error message sais onmany of them:

"Application Error.

The instruction at "0x6c371751" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memor could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program"

HELP! ;)

THanks for your time and effort.

OK, I hate to sound like I'm pushing you away, but this is probably best to be asked in the Windows category. I searched for this problem and it may be due to several reasons.

So if you don't have any more problems related to spyware or viruses, I can close this topic. We may re-open it again later (PM me if you want) if needed.

What I suggest to do now is to post your shell32.dll and that error message in bold that you gave me, into the Windows Forum. They will better assist you there.
