hi, i made something on FlashMX 2004. It is saved as a .fla file. Is there a way to convert it into a .gif?

hi deedee
try this to save the file in the other format open the file you made with the program you did it in. when you have it open click on file then save as in there does it gave you a drop down list of other files formats you can save it as should be down at the bottom of the save as popup box.

if i open it in the program i saved it in, and try to save it as a diff kind of file, it only lets me save it as a .fla and nothing else.

Is it possible to convert a file you made on the program, FLASHMX, to a .gif or .jpg file?

It should be an option in FlashMX under Save As.... Select Animated GIF, and there will be additional options to select quality settings. I muddle around Flash, and don't have it installed on this computer, but I think you may have similar choices under Publish.

well when i go to save as it only lets me save it as a flash file.

i published it as both .gif and .jpg files, but when i open them as those the animation doesnt play.
