I recently deleted cab files by accident. One named vcredist.zip, an I cant remember the other. I now get an error when opening windows apps that says: "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail". I done some digging in my comp trying to fix it myself, while digging in the windows files I came upon a file named errorrep. I looked in it an theres 2 empty files, 1 named Qheadles an the other named Qsignoff. Ive tried downloading multiple programs and files, but everything and anything having a .dll, or .exe thats a dll file, wont start properly. I cant run java and many other applications which dont have anything to do with windows. Im not a newbie or a techie. I know my way around windows, but like I said, Im no einstein. I looked up the side by side config error online an the most I could make of it was a term called DLL [bleep]? Maybe I wasnt in dll heaven b4 that, but at least I could run my apps. I just want my computer back to how it was b4 I deleted the cab files. I downloaded ms visual c++ 2005, but it along with all the other programs I tried didnt work. Som1 PLZ HELP ME GET OUT OF DLL [bleep]! ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!

well, I made it out of .DLL [bleep] luckily, I still have infections on my computer tho. I have over 1,000 registry errors, Im pretty sure thats bad. I need an antivirus or anti malware program that can get rid of rootkit infections and repair registry errors, an I dont have $$ to spend on some expensive program. I downloaded the free version of tuneup 360, but it wont fix anything unless u buy it. Does any1 know where I can find something like tuneup 360 that I dont have to pay for to fix my computer. If so, Id be very grateful, Also 1 of the infections has caused me to get the blue screen crash error. Im very uncomfortable with this in my computer, can som1 plz hook me up with a freeware program that removes rootkits and registry errors without having to buy it. Thanx
