Hi everybody,

I am posting this question to ask for your ideas regarding the following issue.

A few days ago my computer was infected with a rootkit (conficker, according to my provider). As far as I have been able to verify, I have managed to delete it using GMER. Afterwards, I have installed "PC-beveiliging totaal" anti-virus software by F-secure. Since the installation of the F-secure software, my computer occasionally gets very very slow, especially at start up. I have noticed that fssm32.exe is consuming up to 99% of CPU.

I have scanned with HijackThis, which gives me the following log:

My questions are:

What can I do to prevent fssm32.exe taking up so much CPU ?
Are there any traces of a rootkit left on my computer ?

Thanks a lot for any ideas you might have! :D

Cheers, Roger
