Very recently my IE8 stopped working, I get an error box "The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000006). Click on OK to terminate the application.

I need to click OK twice before the message disappears. I have run a virus / spyware scan and tried a system restore to an earlier date but still get the same problem. Any help would be appreciated
