Please define: "rebooted my XP".

Have you reinstalled Windows from the disk?

yes i rebooted my computer meaning i did a factory install of my computer.

it is refurbished and i only received one recovery disk for it.

now until yesterday everything worked fine. my computer was connected to the router. and now for the last 2 days i have been unable to use internet on my desktop. orginally i thought it was my netgear, but the wireless part is working fine. my ps3 and labtop are stll connected to the internet.

I suspect this to mean that you have a name brand computer such as a Dell, HP, Gateway, etc.
I also suspect that it is not a XP cd. Usually the recovery cd (if that is what it truely is) will load the OS and the drivers.

Please Go to

1: STARTand the click on RUN
2: Type in devmgmt.msc
3: Click Enter
4. Look for any entries with Yellow Exclamation ! marks or Red X's

In your next reply please include those results

Also please give us the make and model of the computer.
Is it a desktop or laptop?
