I've accidentally uninstalled SoundMax off of my Dell desktop. I am trying to reinstall SoundMax; however, there is a pop-up message that reads "HDA Audio Bus Driver not found and is required to complete this installation".

-How do I get the required HDA Audio Bus Driver for my computer in order to complete my SoundMax installation?

-Free programs only please; I'm not willing to pay for anything.

All answers are greatly appreciated.

  • Please understand we are all volunteers and we are not here all the time.
  • Sometimes it may be a extended amount of time to get back to you. If it has been
more then 3 days please shoot me a PM and I will try to get back to you quickly
    then.
  • Please do the following and supply the requested information as needed. If you
don't understand my instructions please ask and I will try to explain them
    clearer for you.
  • Do not attempt any steps unless instructed or ask before to
make sure they will not cause any further issues.

First off saying it is a Dell system is not much help.
Is it a laptop or desktop?
What make and model is it then?
Did you receive a drivers disk with your system?
After getting the above info we can find the original drivers for the system and point you to the correct download.

If it is a desktop then there should be the service tag on the back of it.
If we have the service tag we can point you to the drivers required.
