I know practically zip about computers, only self-taught. I have a desktop dell inspiron that is only 6 mos. old and am having trouble with random shutdowns and sometimes blue screen. It always comes back by "start windows normally" but it keeps repeating the same problems over about once a day. I have a surge protector so I know it is not an electrical problem. I do have some simple games that I bought off websites, I checked the compatibility and they now run by " permission to changes on hard drive". Could they be the problem or is this all intrinsic to windows 7 ? I apologize for not being more technical but I am doing the best my brain allows.
