I need to figure out why my start up sound and log-in sound keep skipping. I here it, but it's chopped up. I have avg and spybot search and destroy and have done full feldged seaches with both, coming up with nothing. I can play music fine, but just last night I recognized that the sound was doing the same thing with the DVD I was playing. I love my laptop and I don't want this problem to progress. I have realtek hd audio for the sound driver. Any suggestions?

Did you lately installed a program like drivermax or anything that has to do with updating your drivers?
