Hi, what is the most effective and efficient way to uninstall McAfee from our new laptop. Our trial version expired and I'd rather go with another software such as Microsoft essentials. In the past, when I've uninstalled software, there have been remnant files that for whatever reason were not removed with the uninstall and subsequently error messages emerge as if the laptop is still trying to run the old application. We're running Windows 7. Sorry for the rookie question but appreciate any thoughts and assistance!!!!!
