When I first booted up the laptop with the new Hard drive everything worked fine except for a few driver errors.
I got most of them fixed, but there is one that I am struggling with greatly to resolve and need some help.
My display adapter in the device manager is giving me the following error:
"This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)
If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."
The graphics driver I am trying to install is for Intel HD Graphics,
I am running on the Windows 7 home premium 64 bit OS. (Not sure if this is the problem, the acer comes as 32-bit but the processor can do 64-bit)
I have tried just uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.
That doesnt work because it always defaults to installing the standard VGA graphics driver on startup.
I have also got the chipset drivers in and everything else working properly.
I looked on microsoft support site for how to fix it, but that also was not very helpful.
Somebody suggested in one forum to this other guy to just take out the
CMOS battery for about a min, then put it back in and turn it on.
Also did not work.
Is there anybody here that is willing to help walk me through to resolving the problem? I would be really grateful!
