Ipod touch 2g mic problem

I can play my music loud and theres sound no problem but when i plug in my mic that i bought from ebay the sound turns off for some reason, it used to work fine but now it doesn't i think its regestring the mic as speakers so i can't heard anything but i can still speak through the mic and it can record sound but just cant heard it untill i take the mic out.

I Dont know if this is the correct place to post this topic but i really need help cause i have work to do and can heard people through skype :S
