After removing a rootkit from my laptop closely following the instructions from a helper in the 'Virus, spyware, malware removal' forum, I can no longer boot my laptop . It gets to a black recovey screen titled Windows Error Recovey.

The previous forum I wa being helped in was this one, but the forum was closed because I was unable to reply because I went on a long holiday from Novemeber til now.

I thought it would be more appropriate to try and resolve the problem in this sub-forum rather than re-open it? If not please just tell me.
