Hello All:
Please forgive me if this message was already posted elsewhere within this site
but I obviously need a nother cup of coffee.
Anyway I am not real well versed in fixing my computers problems but I recently
had an isssue begin when I changed my ISP. I have a Dell with Windows XP (home) loaded. Whenever my wife turns on the computer for the day, the Computer will automatically dial-up the Internet without her doing anything.
This happens several times a day and wondered what is causing this?
We usually manually select the 'DIAL' tab on the Internet service icon whenever we want to go online. Can anyone please help with a simple answer?
I recently bought Norton's 2005 virus protection also to help eliminate stuff like this but this does not seem to be a worm or virus issue.

Thanks!

You need to turn your auto-dial OFF inside the dial up properties.

go to your control panel and select internet options, then select the connections tab. Inside you will see 3 options for your dial-up connections setting. Select which ever fits your needs.

Good Luck
