My Seagate External Hard Drive 1 tb drive is blinking. what is wrong?

Please be more specific.
Hard drives on their own do not "blink".

Do you mean a light or lights are flashing on the front/top/side of your external drive? Any particular pattern? Does the drive work, can you read it in Windows?
