I'm thinking of upgrading my computer to use mainly for video editing.

I currently need run a 1.7GHz processor with 1GB SD-RAM, 200GB maxtor external and a 40GB internal and a dual monitor set up.

I have built and built on this computer since buying it in 1997 and the slow processor is starting to get on my nerves, especially regarding rendering videos.

What i'll need with this motherboard and processor is USB 2.0 ports (at least 4), 6-pin firewire, (ideally) a 3GHz processor (or similar) and at least GB of RAM. I know thats asking a lot as I'm looking towards spending about £GB 200.

I have firewire and USB2 PCIs so basically it is the processor and motherboard im looking at expanding, although I'd really like USB2 and 6pin firewire inbuilt. Also my graphics card is more than adequate for the job I use it so I dont need anything speical there.

Can any of you suggest me a motherboard and processor for about £GB 200?
