Systemax running XP v. 2002 SP2, 2.1 GHz, 1GB RAM

I used to be able to access my work computer from home- this computer- by hitting START/ACCESSORIES/REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION - the login screen would appear and I just entered it and I was in my computer at work.

Now when I click on that last item: "Remote Desktop Connection" I am returned to the desktop and it is as if I never attempted to access it. What gives?

Please help me. Thanks.

Updating the Remote Desktop Connection Client may fix it, but for Windows XP you need to have SP3 installed before installing this update:
The download links are near the bottom of this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969084
