i7 950 vs i7 2600

I'm wondering what the impact of a processor having GPU capabilities are on the function of the raw processing ability for other tasks? I Plan to get a good graphics card (nvidia quadro 4000) so I'm wondering would I be better off with the I7 950 instead of the i7 2600? I plan to run Zbrush and some cad programs.
