Ok so my laptop recently started saying "no wireless device" whenever i try to turn the wifi switch on. Also the light on the wireless switch doesnt turn on. Ive tried a system restore, netsh winsock reset, uninstalling 6to4 adapters in device manager, taking out the wireless card and putting it back.

Laptop info:

Acer aspire 5515

IPconfig:

windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Hamachi:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Default Gateway.........: 5.0.0.1

Ehternet adapter Local Area Connection:

Media State...........:Media disconnected
Connection-specific DNS Suffix .:

And all the other tunnel adapter say media disconnected.
Ive tried plugging a cable to the laptop but it still doesnt connect.
Im not sure what to do i think the wireless card is crapped out. But i thought id come to you guys first to see if i could avoid that

Hi azorious13,
Sorry to hear you are having this wifi issue.

whenever i try to turn the wifi switch on. Also the light on the wireless switch doesnt turn on

Does one of these also press in, some of them do to disable the Radio to preserve battery life.

uninstalling 6to4 adapters in device manager

Does the wifi card have a yellow exclamation mark or red x next to it in Device Manager.

Ive tried plugging a cable to the laptop but it still doesnt connect.

Can you loan a USB wireless dongle to try.

Im not sure what to do i think the wireless card is crapped out.

Entirely possible but always worth getting it checked out.
One other thing for you to check out, can the wireless facility be enabled or disabled in the BIOS and if so is it set to enabled?
