suddenly my SENT box using Outlook Ezpress is empty. I can send OK but have no record of what I sent. All was ok until this week! Is this connected to changes at BTYahoo?

Any tips to rectify?

Have you tried clicking 'tools', 'options', 'send', and then ticking the box that says 'save copy of sent messages in the 'sent items' folder'?

sorry for wasting everyone's time-the problem realted to the clock being altered and I hadn't realised this would alter the sequence of messages sent. In other words an unknown person (my wife) had changed the clock to February 2011 by accident. We corrected the clock a few days ago but didn't realise there were message under SENT that carried a February date.

That's weird, though... I'd have thought the messages would still be saved, just perhaps under the wrong date. Glad that it's sorted, though!
