Basically when i put in a disk, the drive spins like its trying to read and then stops. The drive is visible under My Computer, but no files are available from the CD.
I have tried uninstalling the drive from the device manager and restarting the computer, the device is redetected and reinstalled bu still will not spin up.
This had happened last year as well and someone else had fixed the laptop, I just cannot for the life of me figure out what they did.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
