I have been sent a program in Excel to manage and produce bowls league tables. I have vista on my pc which has microsoft works installed. I can't open the excel document into the works spreadsheet. The person who sent me the document suggested downloading openoffice, which I have done. I still cannot open the excel document in openoffice either. The excel document contains macros which I need. I'm not that conversant with computers so I would be grateful if somebody could help me please.

In order to use the macros, you need the real-deal: Excel.

Best bang for the buck would be to get:

Microsoft Office 2010 Home & Student (3-User) - $129.99
Includes Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneNote
