I then installed it on our main computer (with 5+ users), and has Internet Explorer as the only browser to surf the web. Which I also have SpywareBlaster installed and updated. I did a complete scan and it found 144 critical items, which I immediately quarantened and deleted all.
I hope this serves as a wakeup call to internet users. Even when you think you're protected, you're most-likely not. I strongly you install the new Ad-aware SE, keep it updated, and scan with "complete scan" weekly. I also strongly recommend you install an alternative browser, such as Mozilla Firefox to eliminate the endless Internet Explorer security holes. Of course, make sure you have SpywareBlaster installed and keep it updated to minimize the amount of spyware that finds it way on your system. Also, visit Windows Update weekly to install all the critical security patches for Windows.
