WMP only sound no video

Hey evbdy
I have wmp 12 when i try to watch a video it only reproduce sound.
Ive download the videoisnpector and it says that i need the xvid mpeg-4 codec to watch the video
The problem is that in the right part says that this codec is already installed

WHAT I NEED TO DO, PLEASE?

And see if that will play it

Ive already downloaded the http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
but what i need is to play videos in wmp

Also i downloaded mediainfo but it does not have the codecs of the video in the page the suggest

Does VLC work as that is the important test. If it does then you need to down the newest codecs for WMP like Klite from HERE.

You only need the K-Lite Codec Pack Basic to get the codecs.
Once downloaded you have to click on the exe file to install the codecs.

Ok then the issue is a codec problem.
You are missing a video codec for sure and that is why you get sound but no video.
What version of WMP are you using?

uninstall the basic version, install the full version instead, and see if it helps.

I agree with devper above but I also wanted to ask does this do it with every video you try to play in WMP?
