Open WMP and then find the Help area. There you will find the Check For Updates option.
What happens when you click it?

Ok I downloaded the full version but it does not function

And when I click Check for Updates it says "Your computer is running the most recent version of windows media player and all of its components. No update is available at this time. "

Lets try something then, Go HERE download and install either version 9 or 10 in a different place other then the default. Create a folder named WMP9 or WMP10 depending on the version you get. After installing try using it to play the video in question. If it says it doesn't have the right codecs then update as instructed above and try again. Let us know the results.

What do you mean it didn't run?
Did you get a prompt saying it was checking system files?

No what I mean is that it runs but it does not find an issue or something like that

I agree but when i want to watch something in windows media center or edit a video in windows movie maker it is when it becomes a real problem

Which player do you use?
