Hey everyone,

Apologies in advance if i'm posting in the wrong place!

I've recently begun working on a Social Networking script for use by various friends that wish to set up communities.
It's like Social Engine, but will be released as open source just in case anybody wants to use it.

It's written in PHP and is themeable and has a similar login structure to Wordpress ( seperate pages etc ). I've decided to look for some advice in what people look for in something like it.

Is it core functionality? Or customisability?

This is pretty much a feature suggestion question.

Any suggestions are welcome! :D

Open Source projects love students. They have a lot of great ideas. If you want to test skills join them and see if you can fix bugs.

There are actually pretty many commercial social network scripts available which you can take inspiration from. As an example I would like you to suggest to take a look at Chameleon software (http://chameleon.sta...ialnetwork.com/) and Jive (http://www.jivesoftware.com). Just remember about copyright issues :)
