<_< Hi there, here is a list of my problems I am currently having. I have the 3meg (supposedly the fastest internet speed available through charter). My computer is running very slowly, slower then before I upgraded. I can not complete windows update, there are errors on most of the pages I download, when I use the tab button to tab from space to space (like to fill in info) it takes forever, like it just hangs in cyberspace for 10 seconds or more. When I press enter to go from link to link it hangs for a bit also. I get different errors popping up now and again. I am hoping someone can help me. I lost one of the 2 recovery disks to quick restore my computer so I have no other option but to deal with the slow computer and all the problems, I did that hijack thing but don't know what to all delete. If anyone can help me I would be very grateful. Thank you. I have a windows 98 program.

Then another box saying "unable to execute file, create process failed, code 1157 one of library files needed to run this application. Now what? Thank you for any help.

<_< Forgot to mention, might not help but... When I reboot my computer (or just start it) a black screen comes up and it says "Can't find device file needed to run windows or a windows application. Windows registry or System.INI file refers to this device file but the device file no longer exists. C:/progra~1\charte~1\Anti-V~1\Win9X\FSGK95.vxd then it says push a button to continue... Any ideas?

Thanx again.

You still have viruses on your system that I hesitate to remove manually. Remove F-prot antivirus from your computer, and install the free version of AVG. Update the definitions and run a system scan. When finished reboot and post a fresh log <_<

AVG here -> http://free.grisoft.com/

Well, I ran symnatec virus scan and it said there were no viruses, so confusing. Also, I had that F-secure charter security suite anti virus software installed but it messed up my computer and so I removed it but there are still parts remaining that I do not know how to delete. I will try that AVG one now. Any idea how to get rid of the old anti v stuff? Thank you.

<_< Ran AVG, started scanning, was at 12 viruses and still scanning then went to a blue error page saying "Fatal exception error 0E occured at 0028:C0151BB4 in VXD AVGCORE(1) + 000437E8 and then it said press button to continue, did that and all the scanning and that stopped and it disappeared. Any suggestions? Thank you.

<_< I am sooo frustrated, I ran that like 4 times and each time it stops at the same spot, into the start of scanning the D: drive it crashes to that blue screen, how can I fix any viruses if it won't let me know which ones need fixing. While watching it so far I see some Downloader.Briss.A, Dropper Delf.3.L, downloader.agent, downloader.dyfica, downloader.puritys, so far that is all I am able to read while scanning. When I go to scan again it says "Drive(core) not found" and then I have to reinstall all over again. Any ideas?

Lisa

First, we need to remove the pepper trojan. Download this file, run, and let terminate (it'll just blink briefly on your screen and won't appeared to have done much--this is normal):

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
