Having mutiple AV programs on your computer can cause conflicts. Norton is especially difficult to completely remove. There are instructions on their site, depending on which version you have. When uninstalling the programs were there any errors? Or, did an uninstall not finish completely? Somtimes it's helpful to reinstall the program, and then unistall it. Did you try that?

Sorry, just running out of ideas here, and these Antivirus programs seem as though they may be contributing to the problem.
