Hello Geek Experts!

I've taken all the procedures recommended to clean my system, but i think I still have a few nasties hanging around.

Will someone please check this out and provide any advice?

Here's my hijack file...(I've hilighted the things that look unusual to me, but they may be ok and others may be bad)...help!!

Hi pcman999,

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP, or Service Pack 4 if you are running Win2k. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log, WITHOUT ANY OF THE SPACING OR YOUR OWN ENTRIES/HIGHLIGHTS.

OK, I've installed all Windows updates short of SP2, and rerun Adaware, Spybot, and CWS. Here is the latest Hijack log:

We need to download the following program.

Cleanup. But do not run it yet

Next Please carry out a free online virus scan from the link below, enter your name, for company type anything you like and add your email addres in the relevant boxes.

Ensure PC is set up to show hidden files
How to show hidden files

Next reboot into SAFE MODE by tapping the F8 key whilst your PC starts up, select Safe mode.

Rescan with HJT and check the following entries

O2 - BHO: WinStat - {0A51FD8D-6835-4212-B796-AFC24F4D108A} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\WinStat10.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [wssrhs] C:\WINDOWS\System32\wssrhs.exe

Ensure no windows open except HJT and click FIX CHECKED

Now using windows explorer locate and delete the following files/folders

C:\WINDOWS\System32\WinStat10.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wssrhs.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\qae35.exe /k
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ajm6r.exe


Now run Cleanup to clear out temp files, junk etc.

Reboot PC normally, rescan with HJT and post the log back
