I have been working on my taxes for a month with no problem but now when I click to open the program I have been using, TurboTax 2010, I get this error message 'turbotax has encountered a corrupt or incompatible resource file' . When I try to reinstall the program from the disk, I get this error message as it is loading ''InsallShield DLL Custom Action: Failed to extract file Dll.ini from the binary table’.
I have tried changing the environment Temp and TMP - didn't help. I have run ccleaner, didn't help. I have tried 3-4 registry fix programs - didn't help. I ran chkdsk - didn't help. I have not uninstalled the program & then reinstalled (don't want to lose anything).
Can anyone help me. Vista , Dell Vostro 220.

You can try to repair the TurboTax installation. This site will walk you through the process. Did you save at all while you were filling out the forms? I believe TurboTax saves them in your Documents folder by default(in a folder labeled TurboTax).

Hope this helps :D
