I was wondering if anyone wanted to help me tackle this problem before I throw this in the garbage. I know it belongs there but I will at least attempt it furthermore. I have an Acer Aspire 5741 Series laptop. I started getting a Status Oxc00000e9 error, unexpected I/O error. It thinks I have a device connected to my computer, which there isn't, and never has been. I then figured on trying to reinstall Windows 7. So I loaded another windows 7 cd on, switched my cpu to boot from the drive first, and I loaded the cd. After selecting USA and english, I am stopped by an error by having to load drivers. I'm unable to system restore or do any recovery. No OS was listed for me to repair, replace, or to reinstall anything. I begun rebuilding drivers that I downloaded onto a cd rom from the aspire website and model. After loading those driver files I believe my cd rom drive no longer was working, as the driver files I was loading disappeared, and it no longer listed my cd drive. The computer also doesn't recognize any USB plugin device. I am now stuck with loading the computer and coming to the Windows Boot Manager error with the Status 0xc00000e9 error. The windows cd now won't load or the message "press any key to run the cd" no longer comes up. I am now stuck with an error with no return. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
