WINDOWS EXPLORER causes illegal operation

For some reason, now whenever I try to use Windows Explorer & open ANY file - it tells me some illegal operation has occurred & shuts down explorer... same thing happens when I try to explore folders via MY COMPUTER or even the FILE SEARCH function... I don't GET IT?????

Goto START>RUN and type sfc /scannow

You will need your Win CD in order to fix the corrupted windows system files, if found by scan.
