Would someone please remind me how to open and work with two WORD2003 documents on one screen?

For Word 2003 I can't say (never used it), but for Word 2007 do this:

First open each document in two separate instances of Word.
Then, in either document window, click on the "View" tab, then click "View Side by Side" in the toolbar ribbon.
