hey guys im new to this fourm and new to decoding BSOD, im pretty good with hardware itself but just not BSOD,

so to make this clear right off the bat, NOTHING, NOTHING IS OVERCLOCKED.
All temps are good CPU idles at about 25C, i have a Coolermaster Hyper 212+ to cool it
GPU runs at 35C idle which is good concidering the card is rated for 105C
Ram does not get hot
and i have a Coolermaster Storm Sniper case with excellent airflow
Computer has been running fine for 3+ months,

The BSOD seemes to occur most when i play a 2d game called maplestory, i have gotten 3 diffrent BSOD

one is clock_watchdog_timeout 101, and then my most recent one. and a one time one SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Ive read other posts and have done the bluescreenviwer and am inculding that with this post.

RAM pasted the tester built into Windows 7 already twice.

Hello Luxory.... Welcome to
GeeksToGo, :D
:D ;)

I'm sorry to hear about your issue. We will try to help you resolve this as soon as possible.
  • Please understand we are all volunteers and we are not here all the time.
  • Sometimes it may be a extended amount of time to get back to you. If it has been
more then 3 days please shoot me a PM and I will try to get back to you quickly
    then.
  • Please do the following and supply the requested information as needed. If you
don't understand my instructions please ask and I will try to explain them
    clearer for you.
  • Do not attempt any steps unless instructed or ask before to
make sure they will not cause any further issues.

My name is Ron and I will try to help you.
I need a report first from you so here we go.

Go to Search and then to Run
Type in msinfo32 and click Enter
You will have a new window open then. On the left exoand the entry named Software Environment and then click on Windows Error Reporting.
This report will take a minute or two to show up but once it does look for a error about the time you got the last BSOD.
Pay attention to the time and date on the left side of the window and once you find once that corresponds then copy and paste that information in your next report.

MapleStory.exe is the app that crashed today.

The other two entries are from yesterday and suggest a possible OS issue.
Do you know what the first one belongs to?

The first Maplestory.exe is a video game i play, its a 2d game not really that intensive for the videocard / GPU

so would it be worth trying a fresh install?

How old is the game as that may have something to do with it. Also if it is older you may be able to run it in XP compatibility mode by Right Clicking on the exe file and then click on Run in compatibility mode. They may resolve that part of the issue.

The other part we need to do some checks on and the first would be to run chkdsk /r.

Tutorial for running chkdsk in Win 7 located HERE.
