Hi,

I am having problems Installing Win 7 Service Pack 1 KB976932.

I get an error:0x800f0a12

I have downloaded and installed hotfix!

In update History it says the hotfix KB947821 was successful, but when I look in uninstall updates it is not there.
I was going to uninstall it, and reinstall it from another download in case there was a bug.

How can I check if the hotfix, is installed?

When I try to install SP1 I get a DOS flash, and then the error above.
I have a genuine vertsion of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit, and untill this, auto updates have been very smooth.
Windows in on Drive C with a 100 Gig set asside or shadow Copy, which is switched off.
An F drive for System Image by Macrium Reflect.
I am eager to install the Service pack, please help.

Thanks

Windows 7 SP1 RTM Installation Error 0x800F0A12

First link on Google. I'm thinking Macrium Reflect is causing the problems.

Hi,

Thanks for that, but what do I do?

Do I uninstall Macrium? or Format the F Drive and delete the 2 System Image backups on there.

Or do I uninstall Macrium? or Format the F Drive or just delete the 2 System Image backups on there.

I do not want to use Windows for a System Image, as I do not trust it.

I am not too experienced at this, so make it as basic as possible.

Thank you for your help.
