no sound with sata dvd/rw

ok i have a sony optical drive dvd+r/RW/DL and its sata so no cable connection for soundcard
i have a soundblaster x-fi bc00
i dont use onboard sound havent in years the soundblaster outstrips any onboard sound in quality so this is not an option
so how can i enable the dvd/rw to direct sound through my soundcard please
urgently need an answer asap

i had my sound plugged into the wrong hole lmao
