i have an acer aspire 9410-2079. the screen will not fully operate correctly, it will stay white except for about a half inch of the top of the screen. If i twist the screen and hold the display is perfect, when i let it go it goes back to white. anyone think it is the LCD inverter, or buy a new LCD disply

You may have a bad connection, possibly the MB to screen video ribbon.
Unless you are confident repairing a laptop is usually a task best left
to a tech as putting the wrong sized screw in the wrong place can ruin
the laptop, having separate containers for the different size screws is
a must, here is a link to the disassembly guide for the laptop should you
require it http://www.notebook-...rvice Guide.pdf
If you carry out the investigation and/or repair yourself take the opportunity
to clean out any dust, especially from the cooling fan and HS.
