Set text default in Outlook Express

How can I reset my default-text in Outlook Express??? The text default now is "Arial 10" and I prefer at least 11 or 12....I've been into Options & Send and set it to 11, and even while beginning a New Message and going into Format, Font and set it to 11....Applied, etc, but nothing I've done has saved the default text to 11.....

What's the secret???? Surely there's a way to set the default???
