when i put a cd in my computer it doesnt work...i checked on my computer and the cd rom drives dont even show....they disappeared....then when i went on run i wrote setup (for the game) i pressed enter and it said.... "please go to control panel to install and configure system components" .....how do I do that?

I am having the same problem. I was getting the D:/not accessible - incorrect function when I click on it by http://support.micro...kb;EN-US;315350 . How I have to do this everything, I restart my PC (CD-R drive or CD-RW drive is not recognized as a recordable device) http://support.micro...kb;EN-US;316529 (i do have admin rights). Now when I put in a CD the drive runs; then stops and when I click on the D: drive there is nothing showing up. I am running XP and it is a new DVD R/Rw drive. Some times, I can get a CD to work but it needs to be in the PC on boot up, then if i take that one out and replace it the cd will not work. Does anyone have this issue? Please help!
