What I was respectfully pointing out to you was = as per the quote - my early advice was to make a skype call to another contact to establish at which end of the call the fault lay.

Still, anytime you have exclamation points in your device manager, it isn't a good thing... That should be resolved to prevent future probs...Posted Image

Hi,Macboatmaster,I did realise that what you said about talking to other Skype users was a good idea unfortunately I only knew two,the one I was having problems with and one in England but that one was difficult to arrange owing to the time difference and work commitments but I have now made other contacts and have established that the problem is not my end.Mark D points out that it is not good to have the yellow question marks against items in Device Manager but I had to disable them to stop the driver search box coming up every time I started my computor so I guess I will have to live with that as long as it does not cause problems.Thanks again
