Welcome to GTG! :tazz:

Did you uninstall any other drivers on your system first? http://www.drivercleaner.net works well. ATI and nVidia drivers especially can cause conflicts.

wish i could say it got better but with windows itīs a constant battle. After i ran the program my keyboard died n got a (code 41)error instead so now i have to type with windows built-in one. Guess a fix in the regitry is what i need but all i can find is help on cd-roms. :tazz:

If this is the case, perhaps you have a few other issues beyond your FX5200 drivers. DriverCleaner is an excellent tool, albeit mighty powerful. At this point, it would be adviseable to run sfc /scannow from a command line but you'll need your XP CD or a slipstreamed XP CD. (obviously, you have to get past that keyboard issue first) What happened after your last reboot?

Well after i ran the program n rebooted everything looked ok so i checked in the list n it had a "!" next to it n suddenly i noticed my keyboard didnt work either and had a "!" too. So i tried updating the drivers but it was apparently up to date so i unplugged for a secs n got the instalation(i have microsoft wireless) but in the middle of installation all froze n i rebooted. Since then iīve been chasing answers all over. :tazz:

Hi
There is not a thing wrong with the nvidia drivers. I have the GeForce 5200FX it works great on the new driver.
Try downloading it from this site www.XFXforce.com
If its still not working right make sure your AGP will run at 8x and that you have DirectX 9.0 & OpenGL 1.4 installed in your system.

Maybe I missed it. I think his current problem is with his keyboard, not his Video drivers,

Download and install this program, Everest Home free version. That will give you motherboard and chipset information. It will also provde you with direct links to hardware vendors and potential updated drivers (for future reference). As to your keyboard & mouse - I know it can be used as either USB or PS2, but its difficult for me to see the back of your case from where I sit so I'll let you tell me which way you are using it.

Regards,
