I have a 1TB external drive I use for backup of my 1TB media drive.

I would like some sort of system or software that can automatically back up my media drive to my external when it is plugged in.

What would be ideal is if it could back up both ways. i.e. if a change has been made on the external is changes it on the media and vice versa.

Does anything like this exist?

I use Syncback Free. The link is towards the bottom of the page.
You can set it up to do the entire drive, just folders, just files, whats been changed, etc. Any way you want to back up.
