I sugest you keep that Who Crashed on and then you can get an immediate analysis of any minidumps.
If that is the free Avast the latest version is 6.
Also, are you aware that Avast issues updates more or less very 24hrs, so as soon as you boot first time in the day, Avast will check for updates.
You are best leaving other applications and browsing until that is complete.
