The situation is a little strange so bear with me. A couple of days ago my AVG came up saying that it had found a win 32 heur virus which I then told it to heal. I then realised afterwards that the file it was saying was the problem was in fact the .exe file on the CD of a Spanish/English dictionary I use. This seems extremely strange given I've been using it for months without any problems and it's the computerised version of the Oxford dictionary so I can't imagine it was shipped with malware on it. Also somewhat strangely in contrast to what I've read about other people with win32/heur virus issues I haven't noticed any significant computer slow down or the like, in fact I haven't experienced any negative effects at all. Avg does not find anything with a computer scan but now always flags up the .exe file on my dictionary CD as being infected if I try to reinstall it. Seems like something very funny is going on to me!
