New computer won't import favorites

So I finally had to buy a new computer as the 8 year old beast finally died. I have read different tutorials on how to import my favorites and I cannot get it to work. Before my old pc died I exported all my favorites to an external HD but the wizard does not import them. Can someone walk me through this-I must be missing something!

I assume you exported your Favourites from the old Internet Explorer, which creates a file called bookmark.htm

To import that file into your new Internet Explorer, read this: http://windows.micro...ternet-Explorer
